Wow, been a long time!

Well, I guess i've neglected this blog long enough! lol.  Lif e has been pretty crazy since the wedding.  Work was go-go-go for a while after I got back, lots of overtime, etc.  Plus throw in tutoring and starting night school at BCIT and I got a bit overloaded!

So to cut down on things now i've stopped tutoring for the time being and am now on my second course working towards my Associates Certificate in Marketing Management specializing in Event Planning at BCIT.  So far, so good.  I ended up with 92% in my first course and totally nailed the final exam.  The whole thought of a final exam petrified me throughout the entire course because it had been years since i'd been in school, but I was o happy when I did so well!  My new class is going great!  I have a great teacher, he's very interesting and uses alot of real life examples in marketing which makes it all the more interesting to listen to.  I'm kind of sad that i'm missing class next week because it really is interesting and i'm learning so much, but i'm totally not sad that i'm going to.......DISNEYLAND!!!  WAHOO!!!!!

Yep, on to the next trip.  We fly out tomorrow morning and are meeting up with my aunt, uncle and three cousins.  We are all staying at the same hotel which is going to be great!  Mike and I have four day park-hopper passes to Disneyland and California Adventure, and we are also going to Universal Studios Hollywood.  Mike and my uncle Alvin are considering going to see either a hockey game (Anaheim Ducks VS Vancouver Canucks, go Canucks!!) or to an Anaheim Angels baseball game.  They still haven't made up their minds about that one.  We are also going to meet up with Mike's cousins who live in Orange County for a BBQ one evening, which will be nice as we haven't seen them in probably around four years now.

Work is going well.  They keep me very busy there, and its still a great place to work.  I'm making some good friends there, one girl from work even moved down the street from me so now I have someone to go for coffee with on the weekends.  Gotta have that Starbucks fix you know! Lol.  Mike is still working at the warehouse, but is keeping his eyes peeled for other opportunities.  He's thinking of getting into a trade soon.  That would be a great thing for him!  He's keeping himself pretty busy and is about to start Baseball again.  He'll miss the first game cause of our trip, but the season goes until August so he will have lots of playing time to make up for it.

For those who are wondering, and we know you all are cause you keep asking, no, we are not pregnant and no we are not going to tell you when we are going to start trying! Hehehe.  That will be a big suprise for all........plus Mike won't let me tell anyone.  I'm having issues keeping my mouth shut, but so far so good.  That will be a really exciting time in our lives, and i'm really looking forward to it.  It will be an amazing thing to start our own family and I can't wait.  But now is not the time......the only thing I will say is it is not years off in the future, but its not happening next month either.....

Alright, well that's the basic catch-up on us.  I've got to go get myself ready to go out and pick up my mother-in-law's new kitten.  What a cute little fluff-ball!!  She's only seven weeks old and the cutest little Calico kitten......I will try not to take six months to post again!  :)

Well, we did it!

We went and got ourselves married!!!  I can't believe how fast it all went by, but it was completely amazing.  I never in a million years would change any part of it, it was my perfect day.  I had my entire family and my best friends with me as I took a huge step forward in life and I just could not have asked for anything better than that.

Our wedding was beautiful (check out the pic's above!) and our honeymoon was great!  We stayed at a great hotel and had lots of fun just relaxing....well, after everyone left that is....lol.  The first week was a little chaotic with so many people being there and wanting to spend time with everyone before they left.  The second week, however, was much more relaxing.  We spent alot of time wandering around and lounging by the pools....I even have some nice tan lines to prove it! hehehe.

Well, when I get another chance i'll post some more pics.  Off to go and hopefully make up some thank you cards.  Gotta get those off in the mail quickly!

2 weeks!

Two weeks tomorrow we will be on a plane heading to Puerto Vallarta.  I'm currently sitting here at my computer trying to decide which song I want to walk down the aisle to.  I have music picked for everything else, but somehow managed to completely forget that I needed to pick music to walk down the aisle to!  How the heck did I manage to forget that major part of the wedding ceremony? Lol.  I had a song in mind, and after downloading it (and many others to decide) I think i'm going to go with my original pick.

So now is when the hectic schedule really begins.  I picked up my wedding dress tonight after my final fitting.  I LOVE my dress!! Seriously, Mike is going to have a hard time getting me out of it cause i'm never going to want to take it off! Lol.  Its sooooo beautiful!  Don't worry, there will be a TON of pictures taken and I promise to post them when we get back from PV! :)  Tomorrow i'm getting my hair streaked and buying travel medical insurance.  Then on Sunday we are having a family dinner at Mike's parents house to celebrate Mike's birthday.  Then on Monday i'm taking Mike out for dinner for his birthday (his actual birthday is Monday) and on Tuesday night I tutor and have dance class (first one in a few years! YAY!), Wednesday & Thursday I tutor, Friday I get my eyebrows & legs waxed (TMI? lol).....the list goes on and on and on until we leave!  Crazy huh?  But you know what?  I'm loving every minute of it and will enjoy every second of crazyness I have left until the wedding because this only happens once.

Times A Flying!

Yesterday I travelled a total of eight hours round trip squished in the back seat of a car all the way to Lilloutte for my cousins wedding.  Well worth the back and neck pain i'm currently suffering today because of that! lol.

Lorianne & Carlos' wedding was beautiful.  They couldn't have wished for better weather (it was absolutely gorgeous out) and the location was more beautiful than I could have imagined.  I'm so glad I was able to make it at the last minute.....Lorianne didn't even know I was there until she walked down the aisle and saw me standing there.  The grin that lit up her face made the long trip more than worth it.  It was so great to see all of my cousins again.  Mitchel and Emma have both changed so much.....the last time I saw them they were 3 and 10 and now they are 10 and 17!  It was sad to think I never would have recognized them otherwise, but now I don't have to worry about that!

They had a really nice outdoor reception with some traditional mexican foods that they prepare themselves.  Apparently they spent 15 hours cooking the day before to prepare!  After a little dancing and loads and loads of visiting everything wound up by 5pm and we hit the road for the long drive home.

The crazy thing is....seeing Lorianne and Carlos get married yesterday totally hit home for me that our wedding is getting so close!  Their wedding and our wedding is exactly one month to the day apart.  Its kind of neat having it that way.  But as I sat there watching them get married, saying their vows, and getting pronounced husband and wife I couldn't help realizing that one month from that moment (plus a few hours) Mike and I would be in the exact same position.  Time really has flown by and we will be flying to Puerto Vallarta before we know it at this point.

I can't wait to stand before our families and friends and say our I do's!

Life continues...

Well, the wedding date is fast approaching now!  We are in the 50's (as in 54 days until we are all heading to the airport to catch the plane to Puerto Vallarta!!), which is unreal because it just makes it seem so close now!  Just over a month and a half to go and I can't wait!!  The bridesmaids dresses will be delivered to the store this week and then Vicky and I will go in to pick them up and at the same time bring my wedding gown back to the store so that their seemstress can put in a bustle so i'm not tripping over the train all night! lol.

I started my new job just over two weeks ago now.  Its going pretty well....so far it seems to be a very good company to work for and I am enjoying what I do.  Best part is, learning so many new things is making the days just fly by so time is really going by quickly.  That is going to help make the time up until the wedding just disappear.
